Sheregesh is Siberia's leading ski resort. The season runs November–May, with the best snow December–March. Lifts on Green Mountain serve sectors A, E and F. Beginners enjoy the gentle "Little Green", advanced riders ride from the top station. Getting there: fly or take a train to Novokuznetsk, then a 3-hour transfer. Many guests pre-book a private transfer to the door. Where to stay: sector E is closest to the slopes. People in Comfort offers five standalone houses with a quiet yard and parking. What to bring: a warm membrane shell, face protection and UV goggles. Rentals are available locally but book ahead in high season.
